Vintage turn of the century industrial Arts & Crafts/Mission style steel and copper plated waste basket. It measures approximately 12 1/4" high x 11 1/2" across in size. The waste basket was advertised as being "fireproof" and "virtually" indestructible.
The bottom of the wastebasket is marked "ERIE ART METAL CO ERIE PA PATENTED JAN 5TH 09 - Erie, PA" This one is precedes the Erie cans commonly seen and marked as "DAN-DEE"
A fantastic piece to accent your early 20th century home or office. The copper shows age and has wonderful oxidized patina that we left "as is". There is a ripple to one of the spokes on one side (Shown Image 4) The waste can is in solid condition
