Excellent vintage Herman Survivor boots, circa 1970s. Like Red Wing and Chippewa boots, these are an exceptionally sturdy pair of work shoes crafted to withstand years of use & abuse. Tough, thick, redwood-hued leather with tan leather linings and manmade insoles. Steel reinforced, moc-stitched toes. Oil-resistant neoprene soles. Marked "insulated to -20 degrees" on the exterior. Rugged two-tone cord laces and riveted brass eyelets. Perfectly simple, classic style--something that is difficult to find these days.
Marked men's size 6; will also nicely fit a women's 7.5/8. Measurements:
Outsole length: 10 3/4"
Outsole width: 3 7/8" (note--these do not fit wide, despite this measurement)
Insole length: about 10"
Heel height: 1 1/8"
Boot height: 8 1/2"
The boots are in good, lightly used condition. The soles show a bit of wear at the heels, and there is some light scuffing to the leather here and there, but otherwise these are very clean, non-smelly, and well-cared for; the leather doesn't even seem fully broken-in. Years and years of service ahead for these. They have been cleaned & conditioned with non-toxic leather products and are ready to wear.
