Beautiful vintage/antique blouse, circa 1930s. This is part of a lot of coordinating clothing in my shop that was handmade by the same woman, Ann Clabby (her plain, small tag is hand-stitched into some of the other pieces). This clothing was probably worn by her as practical work-wear (aprons, comfortable cotton) yet is very well kept, and appears to have always been neatly pressed and meticulously cleaned.

This blouse is constructed of a supremely soft, pale blue medium-weight cotton. Peasant-style squared collar, 3/4 length belled sleeves, and cropped a-line bodice. Fastens at back of neck with three mother of pearl buttons. The sleeves are double-thick cloth to the upper arm, where the fabric has been tacked a few places on the interior. Lends a slightly imperfect, make-do kind of aesthetic. This blouse was most likely worn interchangeably with the other skirts & aprons from this estate (see other items in shop).

Recommended for xs/s sizes (please note shoulder dimension). Measurements, taken with the garment lying flat and doubled where appropriate, are approximately:

Bust: 35"
Waist: 36"
Hem/hip: 39"
Shoulder: 13"
Sleeve length: 19"
Length: 20"

The blouse is in good condition, but does show wash & wear/softening to the cotton and light fading/discoloration at the underarms. It has been gently cleaned with unscented soap, lightly tumble-dried and pressed, and is ready to wear.
