Very special antique purse, circa 1920s. Small, simple, dark brown grained leather kisslock pouch with silver metal frame and beige suede interior. Leather has a solid supple feel and nice sheen despite its age. Frame opens easily and closes firmly. The backside of the purse is fitted with two straps connecting to a sturdy metal ring that attaches to a metal clasp, designed to slide over a belt. Clasp is silverplated with a unique geometric design in black enamel. Strikingly modern in its plain yet unique design, the purse is large enough to hold folded bills, a few cards, change, and lipstick. Belt shown in photos is not included, but a belt with a width of about 1.25" will work.
Body of purse 4.5" wide and 4.25" tall; drop from the bottom of where your belt would be to the top of the purse is a little over 4". The piece is in good condition for its age, but does show evidence of wear throughout, including wear/light abrasion to the leather at the sides of the purse, light soiling to the interior, and slight wear/tarnish to the metal parts.
