This listing is for the illustration/ book plate "White American Wolf." This is one of the book plates from the 1989 book "Audubon's Wildlife, The Quadrupeds of North America- Complete and Unabridged." This is a later edition from the original book by Audubon, originally from the 1800's. Though these are reproductions, they are amazing and not as fragile as older plates.
This book plate is in incredible condition. It's still a nice crisp white with beautiful color illustration. Has one "cut" edge where it was originally bound to the book. Total size is 12 1/8'' x 8 3/4''. It could be trimmed a little bit more if you need it to fit a frame. The back has writing on it.
This bookplate along with the others in this series would be incredibly cool hanging naturally in an urban or rustic setting. The would be even more impressive framed!
