This is a smallish serving bowl, standing 4.5" high and 7.5" across. It is inspired by mid century pottery.
I made this bowl with rich brown clay, thrown and trimmed on my potter's wheel. I dipped the outside in a rustic white glaze which is striped by bands of charcoal. These thin bands are broken up by segments of metallic glaze. The interior has been glazed in a white glossy glaze which allows the brown clay to show through.
All my glazes are food safe. The ingredients do not include lead, barium, or unsafe levels of copper. I recommend not microwaving or putting pieces with metallic glaze in the dishwasher . With care, this pottery can serve your family forever.
