Snail, escargot, carved wooden lamp, French home decor, vintage french lamp.
This unique snail lamp is so sweet. The lamp base is carved from one piece of wood with added antennae. The spirals have been added with wood stain and then the whole snail polished.
It may have been hung on a wall previously, there are remains of a hook on the base.
The lampshade is made from woven fabric on a plasticised base with twine trim, some of the plastic has warped with heat. This is wired for French electricity and still works, however I would suggest you ask your electrician to rewire it for you, especially if you are in another country.
It measures 9.5 inches long x 9 inches high.
This is a true French vintage item.
