This set is the "Collectors Mineralogy No. 810" set from The Porter Chemical Co. All the minerals contained in the set are numbered. This set is complete with all the supplies shown, including the Mineralogy Manual.
This hard-to-find set would look great sitting on a shelf in your home or cabin - a true conversation piece!

ITEM CONDITION:
This collector's mineralogy set is in very good vintage condition - especially considering it is 77 years old! The aqua colored case is in very good condition, with only very minor scratches. The hinges and latch are strong and secure. The foam tray on the inside of the case has dried out over the years and is somewhat flaky - although it still holds the rocks with ease. All of the rocks in the case are numbered. One of the specimen's is very small - so it seems this is a piece from one of the other rocks in the set. All of the supplies are included in this set, and appear to be in very good condition. The list of minerals in the manual has a torn corner and the paper is fragile and yellowed with age. The manual is complete and is in very good condition. Please use the Zoom tool to get a close up view of this item, and of it's condition.
